Textual theme installation guide

In the following tutorial you'll learn how to install Lisner theme and set up the demo content for the first time.

Theme Installation

When you download the theme from ThemeForest for the first time, all the files and folders inside it will come in the zip format. When you unzip the theme you'll find folder structure similar to this:

Entering to

_01_Lisner_Theme _folder will lead you to the place where zipped theme is stored.

This is the zipped file where theme is stored and that file should be uploaded to WordPress directly as it is.

To upload the theme to your WordPress installation, please from wp-admin area go to Appearance -> Themes _and click on the _Add New button.

Appearance -> Themes -> Add New -> Upload Theme.

Once the theme has been uploaded click on Activate.

Out of all displayed plugins only One Click Demo Import plugin is used once. When you are done with demo importing you do not have to have it installed/activated anymore and you can freely ignore or Dismiss the notice about it.

As you can see there are two groups of required plugins: Requried&Recommended.

Required plugins - Those plugins are absolutely necessary for normal working of the theme. Without theme you won't be able to use the theme.

Recommended plugins - Those plugins are not necessary for the proper working of the theme but we are providing support for theme but you may not have any need to use them.

Once you activated the plugins please go to Appearance -> Import Demo Data.Make sure that you click on Import Demo Data

button only once and wait for the demo content to import. It shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes to finish. Once it is done importing you'll get success notification.You have successfully set up the demo and are ready to start using the theme.
